Is Empowr a scam or Ponzi scheme?

Is Empowr a scam or Ponzi scheme?
This is what Empowr says about itself:-
The world’s first democratic social platform, where the profits and control of the company belong to you.
Our mission: To empower people by enabling opportunity, hope and influence.
Say something. Every time someone reads it, you earn!
Post a photo. Each time it’s viewed, you earn!
Share a YouTube video. When it’s watched, you earn!
Empowr is working to achieve its long-term goal for 97% of receipts that come into the empowr economy, from any source, to go out to its citizens. The other 3% will be utilized towards the costs of running the company. To be clear, this is a long-term goal that the Empowr community has not yet achieved. Everyone is working diligently to grow the Empowr economy in order to accomplish it.
The following is what others say:-

Empowr used to be known as FanBox and some say that was a scam See

See for stats!

After receiving several invitations, I joined Empowr in June 2016 to see what it was all about. The video training is very good although once I knew more it is somewhat misleading in places. It looked like Empowr could provide a reasonable income if I persevered do I did. The training constantly refers to Listing - auctioning or fixed price selling though it does also stress that sponsoring is also acceptable! I went for sponsoring because from what I knew, EBay or Amazon would be better for selling, though Empowr allows you to sponsor items bought! As you progress you are awarded a colour then stripes and a star to indicate your level in the hierarchy, and at the same time your workload is increased!

I am not yet saying Empowr is a scam though it is looking more and more so, as of course do lots do lots of other Internet money making schemes.

For those interested, a few tips/pointers:-
1. Post daily as many photos, messages as you are able to
2. Bid on stuff too as the seller should join your circle of trust, increasing your earnings
3. Try also to reach your like/share goal
4. List stuff, or at least sponsor
5. Fan people and hopefully they'll reciprocate but try to pick people who are active
"Close the Loop" is what it's all about, or so it is claimed!
Make sure too that you watch the video training!

A word of warning - Empowr regularly asks you to "protect your account" - this is a bit of a scam as
they just want access to your credit card or PayPal account so they can "steal" money! Apparently now for some things they can check whether you have at least $30 available - a breach of privacy surely!

As of 16/08/17 my balance is $288,709, revenue $503,683, last 3- day "earnings" $126,567 so
deductions are $204,974! Empowr claims to pay 97% so I have earned them more than $6000 with
the rest at almost $200,000 going elsewhere, probably to higher ranking "citizens"!

I have been on Empowr just over 14 months and have put well over 1,000 hours work.//effort in but up to now and haven't had so much as a brass farthing

From the bullshit spun in the training videos, whilst it does seem reasonable, just doesn't materialize! Being realistic I thought perhaps I would see a return on the time I had invested but oh no! They just move the goal posts as you move up the ladder!

Looks a bit like a Ponzi scheme does it not? In all fairness, I am unsure so far! I asked my "Success Coach" for proof of earnings but so far nothing!

To be fair though Empowr claims to be an economy thus money must be flowing. As regarding earnings they always point to "90 Day Maturity" though this isn't on a rolling 90 days and can be more like 120 days!

Empowr also provide a lot of video training plus they allocate the "citizen" a "Success Coach" who is supposedly there to help with any problems , but this "Success Coach" is paid based on the earnings of those looked after so the motivation may well be questionable!

Talking Android Apps

Talking Android Apps
Out of curiosity initially I looked into how to get Android apps to talk and found that Google do Text
To Speech (TTS), others do too but I chose this one as Android is from Google and should probably work on all (popular) devices!
My first speaking app was an English/Thai phrase test and look-up with the app being capable of

saying the phrase in both Thai and English:- - Test your English<=>Thai phrases with phrase lookup
I then heard my 10 year old daughter talking about the regular spelling tests she had to do at school
which gave me the idea of writing apps for kids to practice:- - Test your English Spelling - Test your Thai Spelling - Test your Dutch Spelling - Test your Chinese (Simplified) Spelling - Test your German Spelling - Test your Spanish Spelling
All these apps have a vocabulary of 11,000-15,000 words and this can be tested by selecting all, or by type and/or category as well as doing the supplied tests of 10-15 words per test.
I am seeking a definitive vocabulary list by age/group for the spelling tests apps even though I have some tests for Thai, English, Dutch and Spanish. I am aiming here both at the native and foreign language learner!
The following apps also "talk":- - Test your English<=>Thai words with word lookup - Test your English<=>Chinese words with word lookup - Test your Italian<=>Thai words with word lookup - Test your Dutch<=>Thai words with word lookup - Test your Spanish<=>Thai words with word lookup
All apps I have written can be installed from my version of a playstore app - For all languages! All apps can also be downloaded too from - Apple iOS users, emulators for Android are available - see for an example!

The installation below is best done before the apps are run as at the moment it isn't possible to automatically install Google TTS from my apps - still researching this!
Android - How to Install and Enable Google Text-To-Speech
Here's how to install and enable Google Text-to-Speech on your Android device:-
    Open Google Play Store.
Search for Google Text-to-Speech and install the app:
Once installed, go to Settings > Language and Input > Speech > Text-to-speech output
Set Google Text-to-Speech Engine as your preferred engine.
More details -
TTS can also be downloaded from
Also, don't forget to check all volume controls on the device and also that the required language(s) has/have been set!
Chinese doesn't usually come with Android outside China so for Chinese keyboard apps see and and more...

Locate Your Organization

Locate Your Organization
I originally started this project to display advertisements for products and services etc so as to allow interested parties to be able to fill in an online query form to express any interest and establish contact!
Taking this further I came up with the idea of displaying a map with the location of the organization. This was then taken further by introducing groups so that a number of organizations could be shown on the map.
So far, I have set up a few locations for people I know, eg bars, cafes etc, see:-
I would usually charge $30 per entry for this service, $10 per year thereafter with the client providing organization name, some description, a document with what they would want to appear and latitude and longitude for their location for the map. Additionally, group information would be needed for them to appear on group maps if so desired.
Further to this, I then thought this might be of interest to larger organizations such as for example super markets, chain stores and even government and departments, not forgetting state education establishments!
Obviously if a larger organization wanted to be a part of this then discounts would be needed depending on the number of locations. This would then allow a supermarket for example to see a map of its supermarkets throughout the country or by region etc! Different map icons could for example differentiate between different types of store, even with the organization logo!

Cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin

Cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin
Bitcoin is a digital currency (also called crypto-currency) that is not backed by any country's central
bank or government. Bitcoins can be traded for goods or services with vendors who accept Bitcoins
as payment.
Bitcoin-to-Bitcoin transactions are made by digitally exchanging anonymous, heavily encrypted hash codes across a peer-to-peer (P2P) network. The P2P network monitors and verifies the transfer of Bitcoins between users. Each user's Bitcoins are stored in a system called a digital wallet, which also holds each address the user sends and receives Bitcoins from, as well as a private key known only to
the user.
The Bitcoin network is designed to mathematically generate no more than 21 million Bitcoins and
the network is set up to regulate itself to deal with inflation. Bitcoins can be spent by initiating a
transfer request from a Bitcoin address in the customer's wallet to a Bitcoin address in the vendor's
wallet. As of this writing, one Bitcoin (also called a BTC)  is now worth more than $1000 -- but just as with stocks , shares and currencies, the value of Bitcoins can fluctuate quickly.
In the United States, Bitcoins are controversial because they can be used to anonymously transfer
illicit funds or hide unreported income from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Bitcoin policy now
requires transactions that involve traditional, government-backed currencies to be attached to an
At the end of the day though Bitcoins along with the other crypto-currencies are only based on fresh

The Top 10 Traffic Exchanges

The Top 10 Traffic Exchanges

A traffic exchange website receives website submissions from webmasters that join traffic exchange networks. The person who submitted the website then has to browse other member sites on the exchange program to earn credits, which enable their sites to be viewed by other members through the surf system. This increases the number of visitors to all the sites involved. There are manual where the browser clicks, usually answering a question, to progress, automatic, where a script progresses through the sites, usually using a browser, but some have there own software to do this.
There manual ones where the member surfs through presented sites, and auto ones where sites are presented without anything needed to be done or vowed!
