We are authorised by HMRC to buy, store, and sell casks as an investment in a fully compliant manner. We have agreements in place with distilleries in Scotland to purchase a select number of casks on a wholesale basis. These sales offer the distillery an alternative income stream as they would usually have to wait many years to see a return on their own investment i.e. once they have bottled a cask and sold it on the retail market. Why Invest?

Track Record

 

There is a limited number of distilleries in Scotland. As such, supply simply can't keep up with demand. Scotch whisky exports grow consistently, year on year at an average of 5.8% with new emerging markets opening up all the time. The export value alone in 2019 was worth £4.8 billions pounds (GBP)

 

Scotch whisky has a proven track record of appreciating in value every year as it ages. This rise in value can increase exponentially after year 7 as only 15% of the 20 million casks currently laid down maturing in Scotland are over this age marker.

 

Security

 

Cask owners benefit from full, outright ownership, unlike bonds, funds, or securities. Once purchased the ownership title is passed to the client. While maturing, casks are stored in secure, HMRC approved bonded warehouses, fully insured against fire, theft, and damage. Insurance is adjusted annually to ensure the appropriate level of cover is always in place.

Objective: Establish and operate a torrefaction pellet plant in the North East of England to meet the demands of signed contracts and exploit a market leading position as the only producer in the United Kingdom of torrified pellets with an initial production capacity from the first production line of 53,000 tonnes per annum.
  • Capital Raise: £3 million ONLY £465,000 of capacity remaining 
  • Term: 3 years
  • Return: 12% pa paid quarterly or 15% pa paid annually
  • Currency: Accepts ANY currency - All currencies are hedged by Swiftfox.
  • Minimum: £25,000 or currency equivalent. (<£25,000 acceptable with prior approval)     
  • Enhanced Security: EPP have also added additional investor protection with a properly mandated security trustee. EPP security trustees have step in rights at any point if they believe there is an issue. EPP needs to provide quarterly financial reports to the security trustee and there is monthly monitoring of the company bank accounts and transactions approvals.
  • Off-take / Supply Agreements: Agreements with major wholesale distributors of biomass pellets as either Letters of Intent or Supply Agreements have been signed ensuring that as soon as the production line is installed the factory will have sufficient waste wood to meet its production targets and 100% of its production output is already pre-sold.
  • Closing Date: The Capital Raise is intended to close on or around 25th October 2020 to coincide with the delivery of the Pellet Mills (the last elements of the production line to be delivered. 
  • Production target date: Assuming the capital raise can be closed on time the factory will commence production in January 2021 with the first cashflows from sales in February 2021.
  • Potential for Early Exit: Interested Parties have approached Management to re-financing. If superior terms can be found which would enable an early repayment to investors.
